About Me

I’ve always been a people person, from a young age working part time throughout school and during my degree in Hospitality Hotel & Catering Management in Edinburgh. From there, I entered the world of Human Resources & Training in banking both in Edinburgh and, venturing further afield to Kuwait with my then, new hubster.

After the birth of my second little one in 2001, I found myself drawn to women’s fitness and health. I went on to successfully carve out a 14 year (and still counting) career spanning 3 countries following my passion to help women of all ages feel the best they can be through Group Exercise, Personal Training & Nutrition.

During this time, I co-founded with a very good friend, ‘Pure Fitness’, a Dubai based women’s Health, Fitness & Lifestyle company where I started the first ever Mum & Baby ‘BuggEfit’ classes in the UAE in 2007 (still running to this day). The company is still going from strength to strength and now offers programmes / workshops & personal coaching for all age ranges of women in person and online, including the ever so important, but sometimes overlooked, ‘+ 35’s’ – heading into the fabulous later years of a womans life.

Throughout my time as a womens’ fitness expert, I found myself on my own personal weightloss journey, deep anxiety issues with my teenage daughter caused me to have to move into the homeschooling system and sadly, my Mum was diagnosed with Alzeheimers, thus ensued a subsequent decline into the illness.

Though there have been trying times, these issues spurred me on to expand my knowledge and cause me to keep upskilling and spread my new found knowledge to help others and continue the search for answers to optimum female health. In 2015, I once again found myself drawn to broaden my Health & Wellness horizons and take on the 12 month Integrative Nutritional Health Coach training certification with IIN, the acclaimed Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. It is with IIN that I learned fantastically innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management for all ages, covering every aspect of life from the physical, spiritual, emotional, and of course nutritional encompassing over 100 dietary theories.

Through my Health Coach journey, I felt drawn into learning more about the Holistic side of things and have now qualified as a Mindfulness Trainer. Mindfulness is such a fabulous tool which can be for everyone not just those who sit in silence for a few hours chanting – although that is certainly a very valid mode of relaxation and finding inner peace.

Now equipped with this fabulous knowledge, coupled with my life experiences to date, I now run womens’ health and wellness workshops, small group seminars and 1-2-1 Health Coaching private sessions where I gets to the heart of every possible issue. I feel that my natural openness and common sense approach to life enables women to open up and with my help, find their way to living a healthier, happier life which easily fits their busy lives and families all discussed in a safe, but motivating environment.

We are ALL individual, live individual lives, have individual genes so there is NO one solution fits all. I will help you learn to look at you as an INDIVIDUAL.

I’m a mum with 2 teenage kids, have changed career a few times, changed countries a few times and love to study (funny not so much at school) anything to do with Health, Nutrition, Lifestyle, Holistic Therapies & pretty much every cook book / slightly random book out there.

We can ‘take a turn’ around any supermarket, food shop, restaurant menu and you WILL learn that working on your health from a nutritional point of view doesn’t need to be about deprivation or confusion, it can be done whilst still living and enjoying life!

ME

I LOVE supermarkets, restaurants, food, eating, cooking, doing sometimes different and random forms of movement, feeling positive and basically having fun!

I believe we all have the power to change things that don’t work for us and to feel joy & happiness. Sometimes all we need is someone to listen – the answers are inside us all ready to be found!
