I thought it was maybe time to actually tell you what I do as opposed to just throwing out some of the musings that come across my, at times, bonkers brain and as some of you know, I do like to share.  You can always check out who I am properly on my website www.elaineluck.comwhere you should actually be right now as Facebook would have magically redirected you. I.T. & technology do occasionally fascinate me, not in a ‘please talk to me for an hour on it’ way, more with the attention span of a goldfish might.

 

Anyway, back to HEALTH COACHING, I really must stop this digressing, think it may be genetic.

So, I am a qualified Health Coach. What actually is that? Health Coaching is a relatively new title in the UK but has been around in the States, Australia, Europe and the Middle East for some time. A Health Coach is basically a guide and mentor who supports and helps clients take responsibility for their health and achieve their personal wellness goals. Some common areas where a Health Coach may help a client include weight management, food cravings, sleep, energy, movement, stress management, and digestion, just to name a few.

A Health Coach does NOT take the place of a medical practitioner by diagnosing, treating, or taking responsibility for bringing about wellness changes in a client’s life; rather, a Health Coach encourages positive changes based on what the client needs help with or would like to achieve. A lot of what Health Coaches do focuses on behavioural choices along with the basic understanding of nutritional patterns and overall health.

 

You may feel that you need to lose some body fat but hate dieting (so do I) and don’t really know how to make lasting changes. You may not have had a full nights sleep in the past 6 months so are tired and grumpy all the time. You may know you need to move your body more but haven’t got the finances or interest in joining a gym so think there isn’t any point. You may think you want to change your job and just want to discuss it with someone. You may want to introduce some Meditation into your life but don’t know where to start. You may think all of these things, just one or other Health & Wellness areas and that’s where Health Coaches come in.

 

I will never tell you what to do, I will help you to find what will work for you, YOU the EVERYDAY FABULOUS WOMAN, without any of the ‘my mate says I should do this diet cos it worked for her’! Health coaches work using BIOINDIVIDUALITY – what works for one person may not work for another, it IS personal. I can help you develop strategies and habits that create real, lasting lifestyle changes. As a Health Coach, I can work on a 1-2-1 basis either in person or over the internet or phone, run small group programmes again in person or online, run workshops, co-host wellness seminars on a whole host of topics and generally love to chat about anything health or wellness related.

I also don’t take myself too seriously, just in case you wondered.
